Best Weapons — Locations & Stats

All weapons in BotW have durability — they break after extended use. Focus on high-damage weapons for boss fights and Lynel encounters. Ancient weapons (crafted at Akkala Tech Lab) deal 3× damage to Guardians and are essential for late-game Guardian farming.

Weapon Durability Tips

Save highest-damage weapons for Lynel fights and bosses. Use weaker weapons on regular enemies. The Hylian Shield's durability is so high it effectively never breaks in normal play — prioritize finding it early. Savage Lynel weapons drop after each Lynel kill — Blood Moons respawn all Lynels, enabling infinite farming.
