Phantom Hourglass

A direct sequel to Wind Waker. Tetra's crew discovers a Ghost Ship and she vanishes. Link enters the World of the Ocean King — a cursed sea — guided by the fairy Ciela and the cowardly sailor Linebeck. All controls are via DS touchscreen and microphone.

⏰ Temple of the Ocean King — Time Mechanics

The Temple of the Ocean King drains Link's life unless protected by Safe Zones (glowing floor tiles). The Phantom Hourglass contains sand that slows the drain. Each boss you defeat gives more sand. The temple has 20 floors total, revisited after each sea temple. Phantoms patrol and kill on contact — hit them with arrows to stun, then use their distraction to advance. Draw notes directly on the touchscreen map — this is not optional.

All Sea Temples + Ocean King Temple

Each sea temple grants a Spirit Gem that powers the Phantom Sword — the only weapon that can harm Bellum.

1

Temple of Fire

Bomb Bag

📍 Flame Isle — southeast quadrant of the World of the Ocean King

Boss — Blaaz: Blaaz splits into 3 flames. Use your Boomerang to hit all 3 in sequence without letting them separate. When merged, slash the combined form. Timing the 3-flame Boomerang chain is key — draw the path through all 3 flames on screen.

2

Temple of Wind

Grappling Hook

📍 Cyclone Isle — central sea, use vortex to reach

Boss — Cyclok: Cyclok is a tornado creature. Grappling Hook into the tornadoes it creates to launch upward, then shoot the core with arrows while airborne. It creates 4 small twisters in phase 2 — Grapple each one to gain height, fire arrows at the top of each arc.

3

Temple of Courage

Bow of Light

📍 Molida Isle — southern sea, use map from Freedle the bird

Boss — Crayk: Crayk is invisible except on your DS top screen which shows its outline. Target the crosshairs via the touchscreen toward its top-screen position. When it becomes visible briefly — shoot with arrows. Phase 2 it moves faster — watch the top screen pattern, not the bottom screen.

4

Temple of Spirits

Hammer

📍 Goron Island — northwest sea, trade with Gorons for access

Boss — Dongorongo: Dongorongo is a dinosaur that inhales. When its mouth opens, throw a bomb into the mouth with the Grappling Hook or Boomerang. While stunned, slam its nose with the Hammer repeatedly. Phase 2 it adds fire breath — dodge sideways then counter-bomb immediately after the breath stops.

5

Temple of Ice

Salvage Arm upgrade

📍 Ice Isle — northeast sea, requires Hammer to break ice blocks

Boss — Gleeok: Gleeok is the twin-headed ice dragon from classic Zelda. Each head requires 3 Bow shots to detach. Detached heads fly and shoot ice beams — use the Grappling Hook to dodge and chain shots on the remaining head. Both heads must be defeated quickly or they regenerate.

6

Temple of the Ocean King

All items + Phantom Sword

📍 Mercay Island — central, revisited throughout game

Boss — Bellum: Bellum is the final boss encountered after completing the final Ocean King floor. Phase 1: Shoot the eyes on his tentacles with arrows. Phase 2: He possesses Linebeck's ship — target the eyes on the hull. Phase 3: Linebeck is freed and fights alongside you — use the Phantom Sword on Bellum's eye when it's exposed. 4 hit cycles total.
