Samus — Super Smash Bros.
About This Amiibo
Samus Aran from Metroid in her iconic Power Suit, depicted in Super Smash Bros. as a fast-falling bounty hunter. No thematic connection to TotK, but the amiibo provides a rare chance at ancient-themed materials and basic exploration supplies. The Bomb Flower drop is the most TotK-useful common reward. Low priority compared to Zelda-series amiibo but worth a daily scan if already owned.

How to Use This Amiibo
- Open the ability wheel and select the amiibo rune.
- Place the Samus — Super Smash Bros. figure (or NFC card) on the NFC reader on your controller.
- Items will spawn in a treasure chest and scattered on the ground nearby.
- The exclusive reward (None (generic material drops)) appears in the chest. Common drops appear loose.
- Cooldown: 24 hours (real time) before you can scan again.
Tips & Strategy
The rare Ancient Material drop is the main reason to scan Samus — it is one of very few amiibo with any chance of this material. Bomb Flowers are the most TotK-useful common drop: attach to arrows for remote detonation, or fuse directly to a weapon for explosion damage. Scan daily if you own this figure purely for the Ancient Material lottery and Bomb Flower stock.
Save-Scumming for Better Drops
- Save your game before scanning the amiibo.
- Scan the amiibo and check the chest.
- If you did not get the desired exclusive reward, reload your save.
- Scan again. Drops are re-rolled each time you load.
- Repeat until you get the None (generic material drops).
