Description

A legendary Hyrulean armored knight animated by dark energy, found in Hyrule Castle's inner sanctum and ancient ruins. The Darknut's full armor deflects most conventional attacks — sustained heavy weapon hits strip plating piece by piece until the core is exposed. Each armor segment that falls increases movement speed. Darknut Sword drops are powerful greatsword bases, and their Shield is one of the strongest in TotK. A classic Zelda enemy reappearing in spectacular form.

How to Beat Darknut

A heavily armored knight that parries most direct attacks. Watch for its overhead shield bash and dodge sideways — this creates a brief rear-attack window. Sustained hits on its armor eventually strip protective plating, dramatically reducing its defense. When armor is removed, it fights faster and more aggressively but takes full damage. Its sword drop is one of the best greatsword fusion bases in the game.
