Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!
Description
A Stone Talus composed entirely of molten rock found near Death Mountain. Its superheated body instantly ignites wooden weapons on contact and causes burn damage. Ice arrows extinguish the heat temporarily and expose the ore deposit for attack. Flamebreaker Armor prevents the burn damage from body contact. One of TotK's most visually spectacular boss fights.

How to Beat Igneo Talus
Body is molten rock that burns on contact. Use ice weapons or ice arrows to cool it down, then quickly climb and strike the ore deposit. The cooled state is temporary, so attack fast. Flamebreaker armor prevents environmental fire damage but not contact burns.
