Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!

Description

The Fire Like Like is a volcanic variant of the standard Like Like, found lurking in the heated caves and canyons around Death Mountain. Its rubbery body is infused with magma, giving it a glowing red-orange appearance and the ability to breathe jets of flame. Like all Like Likes, it attempts to swallow Link's equipped shield — but this variant also inflicts burn damage during the capture animation. Ice arrows are the most effective counter, freezing it solid and preventing the shield-theft lunge.

How to Beat Fire Like Like

This Like Like variant breathes fire before attempting to swallow Link's shield. Use ice-element attacks to freeze it mid-lunge. If it captures your shield, it gains fire resistance temporarily. Flamebreaker Armor prevents burn damage from its fire breath but does not prevent shield theft.
