Bargainer Statues — Trading Poes in the Depths

Bargainer Statues are ancient stone effigies scattered throughout the Depths. They accept Poes — blue wisps of light collected from fallen enemies and Poe clusters on the Depths floor — in exchange for exclusive armor sets, materials, and upgrades unavailable anywhere else. Finding and unlocking all Bargainer Statues is essential for completing the Depths armor collection.

What Are Poes?

Poes are the currency of the Bargainer Statues. You collect them by:

• Killing enemies in the Depths (each drops 1–5 Poes)
• Running through glowing Poe clusters on the Depths floor (worth 1–10 Poes each)
• Completing certain Depths side quests

Poes are not lost on death. They carry over between sessions. The Depths has dense Poe clusters near Lightroot structures.

All Bargainer Statue Locations

There are 10 Bargainer Statues total — 1 in Lookout Landing (above ground) and 9 in the Depths.

Lookout Landing Statue (Surface)

The first Bargainer Statue is in Lookout Landing, in the underground cave accessible from the Emergency Shelter. This statue unlocks automatically early in the main quest and serves as your introduction to the system. Coordinates: -0253, -0148, 0021.

It sells a limited initial inventory. Visiting Depths statues expands what's available.

Finding them: Each Depths Bargainer Statue is located near a Lightroot. Activate Lightroots to illuminate the area — the statue will be visible within 50–100 meters.

What Bargainer Statues Sell

Each statue sells the same inventory once unlocked. You don't need to buy from specific statues — any statue gives access to the full catalog after you've found enough of them.

Best Purchases (Priority Order)

1. Depths Armor Set (450 Poes total) — Highest priority. Gloom resistance is critical for extended Depths exploration. Without it, Gloom continuously drains your max hearts. Each piece provides meaningful resistance; the full set provides substantial protection.

2. Mystic Armor Set (180 Poes total) — Once you have Gloom resistance, Mystic Armor is surprisingly powerful in the early-mid game. It converts damage into Rupee loss rather than heart loss, making you functionally invincible as long as you have Rupees.

3. Star Fragments (200 Poes each) — Star Fragments are the bottleneck for Level 4 armor upgrades at Great Fairies. Buying them from Bargainer Statues is the most reliable source after you exhaust natural drops.

4. Evil Spirit Armor (300 Poes total) — Good defense, plus it intimidates Stal enemies (Stalkoblins, Stalhorses) — they will flee from Link rather than attack. Useful in skeleton-dense areas of the Depths.

Poe Farming Tips

Best Poe farming location: The Depths area beneath Akkala Citadel (northeast quadrant) has dense Poe clusters and frequent enemy spawns. Run circuits between Lightroots hitting clusters.

Lightroot proximity: Poe clusters respawn after the Blood Moon. Lightroots in the center of the Depths map (beneath Hyrule Castle) tend to have the densest cluster fields.

Enemies: Gloom-infested enemies (Gloom Hands, Phantom Ganon versions) drop more Poes than standard enemies. Stal-type enemies also drop Poes reliably.

Don't rush: You'll accumulate Poes naturally during Lightroot exploration. Focus on lighting the map first — the Poes will follow.

Unlocking the Full Inventory

The Bargainer Statue inventory expands as you find more statues. The Lookout Landing statue starts with a limited selection. Finding 3, 6, and all 9 Depths statues unlocks additional tiers.
