All Paraglider Fabrics — Complete Collection Guide

The paraglider fabric customizes the canopy design on Link's glider. There are 34 total fabric designs in Tears of the Kingdom — from story rewards to rare amiibo exclusives. Collecting all 34 is a satisfying completionist challenge, and equipping your favorite design is one of the few cosmetic options available directly on Link during exploration.

Fabric changes are entirely free and can be swapped at any time at Sayge's Dye Shop in Hateno Village. No gameplay stats are affected — it's purely visual. But visuals matter, and several designs are genuinely stunning.

How to Change Your Paraglider Fabric

All fabric changes happen at a single location:

Sayge's Dye Shop — Hateno Village

  • Located on the east side of Hateno Village, near the armor dye vats
  • Coordinates: approximately 3343, -2122, 0105
  • Fast travel to the Mayachideg Shrine (near Hateno Village) for the quickest route

Steps:

  1. Speak to Sayge inside the shop
  2. Select "I want to change my paraglider fabric"
  3. Browse your collected fabric designs
  4. Select the one you want — the change is instant and free

You do not need to pay Rupees, spend materials, or visit any other location. Only fabrics you have already collected will appear in the selection menu.

Total Fabric Count by Source

| Source | Count | |--------|-------| | Default / Starting | 1 | | Story (Temple Bosses) | 4 | | Main Quest Rewards | 2 | | Side Quests & Regional | 8 | | Stable Pony Points | 1 | | Exploration / Chests | 4 | | amiibo | 14 | | Total | 34 |

Default Fabric

Hyrule Kingdom Fabric

  • Unlock: Automatic — Link starts with this fabric from the beginning of the game
  • Design: The classic sky-blue paraglider with the Hyrule Kingdom crest — a golden crowned bird emblem on a blue field
  • Notes: This is the paraglider Link receives after escaping the Great Sky Island. It will be your default canopy for much of the early game. Simple, recognizable, and iconic. Many players return to this design late-game for its classic feel.

Story Reward Fabrics

These fabrics drop automatically when you complete major story milestones. You cannot miss them on a normal playthrough.

Paraglider Fabric (Awakening)

  • Unlock: Complete the In-isa Shrine on Great Sky Island — the tutorial shrine that teaches Fuse
  • Design: A lighter sky-blue design with angular wing patterns resembling Zonai bird motifs
  • Notes: Awarded very early — many players don't notice the distinction from the Hyrule Kingdom Fabric. Look closely at the Zonai wing detail on the edges.

Wind Ruler Fabric

  • Unlock: Defeat Colgera — the Wind Temple boss in the Hebra region
  • Design: An elegant dark-blue canopy with flowing white wind spiral patterns and the Rito people's crest
  • Notes: One of the most visually striking story rewards. The spiraling wind lines evoke the Rito aesthetic perfectly. Community favorite among the temple boss fabrics. Best appreciated while paragliding over Hyrule Ridge where wind currents are strong.

Water Ruler Fabric

  • Unlock: Defeat Mucktorok — the Water Temple boss in the Lanayru region
  • Design: A deep blue canopy with silver flowing water patterns and Zora scale motifs across the surface
  • Notes: The Zora-inspired silver metallic pattern shines distinctly in rain. If you're doing the Water Temple first, this will be your first temple fabric — and it sets a high bar.

Fire Ruler Fabric

  • Unlock: Defeat Marbled Gohma — the Fire Temple boss in the Eldin region
  • Design: A deep red and orange canopy with volcanic rock cracking patterns and Goron geometric symbols
  • Notes: Bold and aggressive design. The orange-red gradient mimics lava flows. Pair this with the Flamebreaker Armor for a full fire-warrior aesthetic when exploring Eldin.

Lightning Ruler Fabric

  • Unlock: Defeat Queen Gibdo — the Lightning Temple boss in the Gerudo region
  • Design: A gold and amber canopy with lightning bolt patterns and the Gerudo moon-and-eye symbol
  • Notes: The most regal of the four temple fabrics. Gold-on-amber is a striking palette. Pairs well with the Gerudo Veil and Gerudo armor set for desert exploration.

Shadow Ruler Fabric (Spirit Temple)

  • Unlock: Defeat the Spirit Temple boss — the fifth and final dungeon boss
  • Design: Dark purple-black with glowing Gloom patterns and the Demon King's sigil fragments
  • Notes: The darkest and most dramatic of the boss fabrics. Reserved for players who complete the full main quest chain. The Gloom patterns appear to glow slightly in dark environments.

Champion's Tunic Fabric

  • Unlock: Complete the "A Search for Zelda" main quest chain fully — receiving the Champions' Leathers
  • Design: Blue Hylian hero tunic fabric with the Sheikah eye emblem and golden trim
  • Notes: A Link-centric design that evokes Breath of the Wild nostalgia. The Sheikah eye detail is subtle but precise. This fabric looks best paired with the Champion's Leathers armor set.

Pony Points Fabric

Horse God Fabric

  • Unlock: Earn and spend 500 Pony Points at any stable — select the fabric reward from the Pony Points catalog
  • Design: A warm cream and gold canopy with Malanya's flower petals and the Horse God's sigil in the center
  • Notes: The most expensive single-reward in the Pony Points system. Earning 500 points requires staying at stables, registering and grooming horses, and completing stable quests over a long period. The design is beautiful — Malanya's distinctive flower and magic-circle aesthetic. Worth the grind for horse enthusiasts.
  • Tip: Grooming registered horses at stables gives 1 Pony Point per horse per day. Registering new horses gives additional points. The fastest path is registering 5 unique horses and grooming all of them daily.

Side Quest & Regional Fabrics

These 8 fabrics come from completing specific questlines or talking to key NPCs. None are missable on a standard completionist run — they are always available once the prerequisite quest is complete.

Sheikah Fabric

  • Unlock: Complete the quest "Impa and the Geoglyphs" — Impa's dragon tears memory quest chain
  • Design: Dark navy with the Sheikah eye emblem in red, framed by the distinctive Sheikah geometric patterns
  • Notes: This quest chain tracks down all Dragon Tears memory locations across Hyrule, revealing the story of Zelda and Sonia. The fabric reward reflects the Sheikah's deep connection to Hyrule's hidden history. A must-have for lore completionists.
  • Location to start: Find Impa at Kakariko Village after first visiting a geoglyph.

Rito Village Fabric

  • Unlock: Complete the Rito Village regional questline — reach the Wind Temple and help Tulin
  • Design: White and sky-blue feather pattern with Rito wing shapes and a wind-swept canopy motif
  • Notes: Given by an NPC in Rito Village after completing the Temple. The Rito feather design is airy and elegant — one of the most "paraglider-appropriate" fabrics given that it evokes actual wing feathers.

Goron City Fabric

  • Unlock: Complete the Goron City regional questline — defeat the Marbled Gohma and help Yunobo
  • Design: Deep red with stone texture patterns and Goron tribal circle designs on the canopy edges
  • Notes: Awarded by a Goron NPC in Goron City after the quest. Pairs naturally with the Fire Ruler Fabric in aesthetic — the two together create a cohesive Eldin theme set if you alternate.

Zora's Domain Fabric

  • Unlock: Complete the Zora's Domain regional questline — defeat Mucktorok and help Sidon
  • Design: Cyan and white with flowing Zora scale patterns and a dorsal fin motif at the canopy top
  • Notes: Awarded by a Zora NPC after the Water Temple. The scale pattern cascades from the top down, mimicking a Zora's back plates. Beautiful in motion while gliding over water.

Gerudo Town Fabric

  • Unlock: Complete the Gerudo Town regional questline — defeat Queen Gibdo and help Riju
  • Design: Gold and sand with Gerudo eye symbols and geometric desert tile patterns across the full canopy
  • Notes: Given by a Gerudo NPC in Gerudo Town after quest completion. The gold-on-sand palette evokes the desert architecture of Gerudo Town itself. Excellent paired with the Gerudo Set armor.

Korok Forest Fabric

  • Unlock: Complete the quest in Korok Forest — enter the Lost Woods and interact with the Deku Tree
  • Design: Leaf green with Korok face patterns and trailing leaf vine details around the canopy edge
  • Notes: The Deku Tree or a Korok NPC awards this after the Korok Forest storyline resolves. The green leaf design is charming and whimsical — matches the Woodland Stable vicinity perfectly for aesthetic screenshots.

Lurelin Village Fabric

  • Unlock: Complete the Lurelin Village Restoration side quest — rebuild the village destroyed by monsters
  • Design: Ocean blue and coral with tropical fish and wave patterns evoking Lurelin's coastal character
  • Notes: One of the more heartwarming quest rewards in TotK. Lurelin Village can be fully rebuilt by completing a series of mini-quests in the area. The fabric's coastal design reflects the village's fishing community identity.
  • Tip: The village restoration quests are given sequentially — speak to Bolson in the ruined village first to begin.

Tarrey Town Fabric

  • Unlock: Complete the Tarrey Town side quest chain — help Hudson and Rhondson grow the town
  • Design: Warm brown wood-plank texture with Hudson Construction logo and hammer motifs
  • Notes: The Tarrey Town quest chain is one of TotK's most beloved side stories, continuing from BotW. The fabric design is intentionally homely and charming — a hammer and nails on a wooden canvas. Collect this one for the story alone.

Exploration & Chest Fabrics

Snowquill Fabric

  • Unlock: Purchase from Brazer's Armor Shop in Rito Village after completing the Wind Temple questline
  • Design: White snow-feather pattern with the Snowquill armor's distinctive blue and silver accents
  • Notes: Unlike the Rito Village Fabric (quest reward), this one must be purchased separately. It's a shop item that becomes available post-questline. Price is modest — under 500 Rupees.

Ember Fabric

  • Unlock: Purchase from Fugo's Armor Shop in Goron City after completing the Fire Temple questline
  • Design: Dark gray stone texture with ember glow patterns — fire flickering along the canopy edges
  • Notes: Shop item available post-questline. The ember glow detail is subtle but beautiful in dark environments. Worth buying if you're in Goron City post-Temple completion.

Flamebreaker Fabric

  • Unlock: Purchase from Fugo's Armor Shop in Goron City or find in a chest in the Eldin region
  • Design: Orange-red flamebreaker stone pattern with fire-resistant rune symbols woven across the fabric
  • Notes: This fabric is available earlier than the Ember Fabric — you can purchase it when first unlocking the Flamebreaker armor for Death Mountain access. One of the easier exploration fabrics to collect.

Depths Fabric

  • Unlock: Find inside a golden chest in the Depths — specific chest locations include the Abandoned Zonai City and the Minetak Lightroot area
  • Design: Jet black with glowing purple-blue Gloom rune patterns and Depths map constellation dots
  • Notes: The rarest exploration fabric — golden chests in the Depths are uncommon and their contents are not always predictable. The Depths Fabric is in the loot pool for specific chests in the deeper regions. If you're thorough about Depths exploration and open every golden chest, you'll find it eventually.
  • Tip: The Minetak Lightroot area and the Abandoned Zonai City have confirmed golden chest spawns. Use a Brightbloom Seed to illuminate the area before searching.

amiibo Fabrics (14 Total)

amiibo fabrics are the most numerous single category. Each specific amiibo figure has a corresponding fabric in its loot drop pool. Because amiibo drops are randomized, you may need to tap the same amiibo multiple days in a row before the fabric appears.

How amiibo Fabric Collection Works

  1. Enable amiibo scanning: From the Purah Pad menu, ensure amiibo use is enabled in accessibility options
  2. Hold the Joy-Con NFC point (or Pro Controller NFC point) near your amiibo figure
  3. Each amiibo drop spawns a crate with random items — fabric is one item in the pool alongside materials and food
  4. One scan per amiibo per real-world day — the daily reset happens at midnight local time
  5. If you don't receive the fabric, try again the next day with the same amiibo

Tip: Keep a spreadsheet of which amiibo fabrics you've already collected so you know which figures to keep tapping daily until the fabric unlocks.

Tears of the Kingdom amiibo Fabrics (3)

Link (TotK) Fabric

  • amiibo required: Link amiibo — Tears of the Kingdom version (blue armor, Purah Pad)
  • Design: Royal blue Zonai-armor pattern with the TotK Link's chest armor geometric design and Purah Pad interface motifs
  • Notes: The flagship TotK fabric. The geometric Zonai blue design is one of the sharpest in the game. This amiibo typically releases with the game and is the first one most players scan.

Zelda (TotK) Fabric

  • amiibo required: Zelda amiibo — Tears of the Kingdom version (white ceremonial robes)
  • Design: Soft pink and gold canopy with Zelda's TotK ceremonial robe patterns and the Triforce of Wisdom motif
  • Notes: Community top-ranked fabric for aesthetics. The pink-and-gold palette is delicate and visually striking. The Triforce of Wisdom emblem in gold on the center panel is a beautiful detail.

Ganondorf (TotK) Fabric

  • amiibo required: Ganondorf amiibo — Tears of the Kingdom version (demon king armor)
  • Design: Dark crimson and black with the Demon King's dragon scale patterns and Gloom-tipped edge details
  • Notes: The most dramatic and menacing fabric in the game. Dark red scales with black Gloom details create an imposing canopy. Ideal for players who complete the full story and want a villain aesthetic for post-game exploration.

Breath of the Wild amiibo Fabrics (6)

Link (BotW) Fabric

  • amiibo required: Link amiibo — Breath of the Wild version (Champion's Tunic, blue)
  • Design: The classic BotW Champion's Tunic design — recognizable blue fabric with Hylian-language stitching
  • Notes: A nostalgia pick for BotW veterans. The Hylian text stitching across the canopy reads "courage" and "wisdom" in the ancient script.

Zelda (BotW) Fabric

  • amiibo required: Zelda amiibo — Breath of the Wild version (white research uniform)
  • Design: White research-uniform pattern with Sheikah tablet motifs and scientific sketch illustrations of wildlife
  • Notes: A softer, more scientific Zelda design reflecting BotW's exploration themes. The wildlife sketches are a charming detail.

Guardian Fabric

  • amiibo required: Guardian amiibo (blue guardian, TotK/BotW era)
  • Design: Aged metal-gray with Guardian eye and leg patterns across the canopy surface
  • Notes: The Guardian is the most iconic enemy of the BotW era. Its spider-leg geometry mapped onto a paraglider canopy creates an unsettling but fascinating design. Unique among all fabrics for the mechanical-horror aesthetic.

Bokoblin Fabric

  • amiibo required: Bokoblin amiibo (green Bokoblin)
  • Design: Monster-hide texture with Bokoblin face paint patterns and crude tribal markings in red and blue
  • Notes: Surprisingly popular for its irreverent monster-tribe aesthetic. The crude hand-painted style creates a chaotic, energetic design unlike any of the elegant story-reward fabrics.

Archer Link Fabric

  • amiibo required: Link (Archer) amiibo — green tunic, bow drawn
  • Design: Classic green tunic with Kokiri forest motifs and archery-notch details along the canopy edges
  • Notes: Evokes classic Zelda aesthetics — the green forest-hero look. One of the most "timeless" feeling fabrics for players who connect with Link's original design language.

Rider Link Fabric

  • amiibo required: Link (Rider) amiibo — on horseback, Champion's Tunic
  • Design: Blue Champion's Tunic with horse-hoof print patterns and equestrian trail motifs across the canopy
  • Notes: A horseback-themed fabric that pairs perfectly with the Horse God Fabric unlock quest. Symbolically complete the horse tamer aesthetic with both this and the Horse God Fabric in your collection.

Legacy Series amiibo Fabrics (5)

Wolf Link Fabric

  • amiibo required: Wolf Link amiibo (light blue Twilight Princess wolf)
  • Design: Twilight-realm silver and blue with wolf paw prints and Twilight Mirror fragment patterns
  • Notes: The Twilight Princess aesthetic is distinct among all fabrics — darker, moonlit silver tones with a melancholy beauty. One of the more artistic designs in the collection.

Midna & Wolf Link Fabric

  • amiibo required: Midna & Wolf Link amiibo (Imp Midna sitting on Wolf Link)
  • Design: Deep purple Twilight realm with Midna's crown motif, Fused Shadow shards, and dual-realm layering effects
  • Notes: The most visually complex of the legacy fabrics. Purple-and-gold Twilight design layered with Fused Shadow geometry. A collector's trophy fabric for Twilight Princess fans.

Majora's Mask Fabric (Skull Kid)

  • amiibo required: Skull Kid amiibo (Skull Kid wearing Majora's Mask)
  • Design: Dark blue-purple with Majora's Mask eye patterns, moon iconography, and Skull Kid's star-and-bell details
  • Notes: Haunting and beautiful. The moon's baleful eye peering from the canopy center is one of the most iconic design choices in the full fabric collection. A must-have for Majora's Mask fans.

Toon Link Fabric

  • amiibo required: Toon Link amiibo — Wind Waker version (chibi green tunic)
  • Design: Cel-shaded green with Wind Waker ocean wave patterns and the King of Red Lions sail design on the center panel
  • Notes: The cel-shaded art style translates beautifully onto the canopy. The boat-sail design in the center makes this feel like a flying nautical canvas. Playful and beloved.

Zelda (Wind Waker) Fabric

  • amiibo required: Zelda (Wind Waker) amiibo (Tetra design, pirate outfit)
  • Design: Tetra's orange-and-white pirate aesthetic with nautical compass rose patterns and treasure map illustrations
  • Notes: Tetra's adventurer spirit captured on a paraglider. The treasure map illustrations scattered across the canopy are miniature works of art. Easily in the top five visually.

Efficient Collection Order

For completionists planning a full 34-fabric run:

Phase 1 — Story (automatic, zero extra effort): Complete all temples + main quest → unlocks 7 fabrics automatically

Phase 2 — Regional quests (complete each region): Rito + Goron + Zora + Gerudo + Korok + Impa quests → 6 more fabrics

Phase 3 — Side quests (1–3 hours total): Tarrey Town + Lurelin Village restoration → 2 more fabrics

Phase 4 — Shops (Rupees only): Buy Snowquill, Ember, Flamebreaker fabrics at regional armor shops → 3 more fabrics

Phase 5 — Stable grind: Reach 500 Pony Points → Horse God Fabric (multi-day effort but passive)

Phase 6 — Depths exploration: Open every golden chest in the Depths → Depths Fabric (tied to exploration)

Phase 7 — amiibo daily tapping: Scan all available amiibo daily until each fabric unlocks → 14 fabrics (weeks of patience)

Total time estimate: Main story fabrics in under 40 hours. Full 34/34 may take 100+ hours depending on amiibo availability and daily scan luck.

Notes

  • Fabric changes are free at Sayge's Dye Shop and can be done unlimited times

  • The full 34-fabric collection counts toward the Adventure Log completion tracker
  • amiibo restrictions apply in some regions — amiibo scanning requires Joy-Con with NFC or Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
