Kiuyoyou Shrine is a Rauru's Blessing shrine in the Lanayru region — the lush, waterfall-rich zone surrounding Zora's Domain. The shrine sits in a location accessible only after solving a water-based environmental puzzle in the surrounding Lanayru terrain: diverting a waterfall, opening a stone gate in the cliff face, or navigating an underwater cave depending on exact location. Once reached, the shrine's interior is straightforward — a direct walk to the altar. The challenge is entirely external, rewarding players who engage with Lanayru's aquatic exploration.

The Exterior Challenge

Reaching the Shrine

Kiuyoyou Shrine is concealed behind a waterfall or within a cliffside cave on the Lanayru waterway system. Access typically requires:

1. Diving upstream through the waterfall using Zora Armor (swim up waterfalls) or by locating the cave entrance at the waterfall's base
2. Solving the cave interior puzzle — a short cave with a sealed stone door requiring pressure plate activation or a Brightbloom Seed puzzle in the dark interior
3. Emerging at the shrine entrance on the other side of the cliff face

Zora Armor note: The Zora Armor set (especially with the helmet piece) allows swimming up waterfalls — this ability is specifically designed to access cliff-face shrines and areas behind waterfalls throughout the Lanayru region. Kiuyoyou is one of the primary intended use cases.

Cave Interior (if applicable)

The cave between the waterfall and the shrine varies slightly by approach angle, but typically contains:

• A sealed pressure plate door — place any heavy rock on the plate to open
• One Bubbulfrog in a side alcove (night spawn) — worth collecting the Bubbul Gem
• Basic illumination needed — carry Brightbloom Seeds for the dark interior sections

Inside the Shrine

No puzzle. A short entrance corridor leads directly to the altar chamber. The interior reflects Lanayru's water aesthetic: carved stone channels, flowing water sounds, and the shimmer of Zora craftsmanship in the shrine's architecture. Collect your Light of Blessing.

Chest: The chest near the altar contains Opal — the gem associated with water energy, used for elixir enhancement and weapon Fuse in aquatic combat.

• Zora Armor is the key to Lanayru shrine access — prioritize obtaining it from Zora's Domain before exploring the region's shrines
• The Zora Helmet's waterfall-swim ability is specifically designed for shrines like Kiuyoyou — it's not an optional luxury
