Oromau Shrine
Oromau Shrine — Obstacle Course
Location: Necluda, Hateno area Ability Required: Ultrahand Difficulty: Medium — spinning obstacle timing puzzle
Overview
Oromau Shrine is an obstacle course puzzle — a series of spinning blades, moving barriers, and timed gaps that Link must navigate. You'll use Ultrahand to stop or redirect obstacles, creating safe windows to pass through each section.
Preparation
- No combat
- No special gear
- Takes 8–12 minutes
Walkthrough
Section 1 — Spinning Blades
- Three spinning blade rotors are mounted on poles, rotating at fixed speeds and positions.
- Each rotor has gaps in its arc — walk through the gap as it passes.
- Time your movement: sprint through as each gap passes your position. All three rotors have slightly different speeds — pattern them individually.
Section 2 — Pause the Blade
- A single large rotor blocks the only passage. It spins too fast to navigate through the gaps manually.
- Use Ultrahand to grab the rotor and hold it stopped. Walk through the passage while holding the rotor stationary.
- Release the rotor once you're through.
Section 3 — Moving Barrier + Blades
- A horizontal moving barrier slides left-right across the corridor in front of three spinning blades behind it.
- Wait for the barrier to slide left (opening the right path) then sprint through the right opening during the blade gap.
- Alternatively: Use Ultrahand to hold the barrier at the far left position while you navigate through.

Tips
- Pattern the rotors: Section 1's rotors have consistent speed. Spend 10 seconds watching each rotor before moving. Learn the gap timing, then sprint through on the correct cycle.
- Ultrahand stop is precise: In Section 2, grab the rotor at a point in its cycle where the gap is facing the passage — then hold it there while you walk through. Don't try to stop it randomly.
- Section 3 barrier timing: The barrier's slide cycle is slower than the blade rotors. Wait for the barrier to fully clear before sprinting — don't rush before the path is completely open.
- Chest mid-course: Between Section 2 and Section 3, look for a side corridor with a chest that requires stopping a secondary rotor with Ultrahand to access.
- Link runs in straight lines: Sprint directly through gaps — don't zigzag. Zigzagging during gap timing often costs you a clean pass.
