Oromuwak Shrine
Oromuwak Shrine — A Freezing Rod
Location: Hebra Mountains, high elevation above the Snowfield Stable Type: Puzzle Shrine Difficulty: Hard Coordinates: -2766, 2476, 0551 Required Ability: Frost Emitter (Zonai device, found in shrine) or Ice Arrows Reward: Light of Blessing
Overview
Oromuwak Shrine is one of Hebra's most mechanically demanding puzzles — a three-room shrine built around the Frost Emitter Zonai device and the art of precisely timing ice bridge creation. Water channels with varying behaviors (static, fast-moving current, deep pool) require different freezing strategies in each room. You must create ice bridges quickly, read the environment, and not waste a freeze on the wrong surface.
Preparation
- Snowquill Set or Spicy Elixir — needed for the outdoor approach across Hebra's snowfields, not inside
- Ice Arrows (×5+) — backup freeze source if you run out of Frost Emitter charges
- Zonai Charges — bring a few if you want a fully charged Frost Emitter to start
- Climbing Gear or extra stamina — the path up to the shrine involves steep ice cliffs
Step-by-Step Solution
Room 1 — Static Gap: Build the First Ice Bridge
The entrance room has a wide water channel — too far to jump — separating you from the far platform.
- Locate the Frost Emitter device mounted on the left wall of the room
- Use Ultrahand to detach the Frost Emitter from its mount
- Aim the Frost Emitter at the surface of the water channel between you and the far platform
- Activate it — ice forms rapidly across the water surface (takes ~2 seconds to solidify)
- Walk across the ice bridge to reach the far platform
Alternative: Aim an Ice Arrow at the water surface — it creates a small ice platform you can hop across in 2–3 jumps.
Frost Emitter tip: Hold the device at about hip height and angle it 30° downward into the water for maximum ice coverage. Pointing it straight down creates a small patch; angling it forward creates a walkable sheet.
Room 2 — Moving Current: Freeze Against the Flow
The second room features a fast-moving water current flowing left-to-right. If you step in without freezing it, the current pushes you back to the start.
- Carry the Frost Emitter from Room 1 (or use a second device mounted here)
- Stand at the channel edge and aim the Frost Emitter upstream — freeze the water from your side moving forward
- The frozen section holds even against the current, creating a stable walkway
- Move immediately after freezing — the current's force gradually cracks the ice. You have approximately 15–20 seconds before the ice breaks
- Sprint across, do not stop midway
Chest location: Freeze the water and look right of the channel — a wooden chest is embedded in the ice formation on the far wall. It becomes accessible only when that section of water is frozen solid. This is the shrine's only chest.
Timing trick: If you freeze and the ice cracks before you cross, re-aim the Frost Emitter and freeze again. You can freeze the same channel multiple times — the device recharges passively.
Room 3 — Deep Pool: Ice Step Elevation
The final room has a deep water pool with the altar platform elevated above it — too high to reach with a standard jump from ground level.
- Aim the Frost Emitter at the center of the pool and freeze a section
- The ice that forms rises above the water surface, creating an elevated platform roughly 1 meter above the original pool floor
- Step onto the ice platform and use it as a launching point — jump + paraglide to the altar ledge
- If the ice isn't tall enough, angle the Frost Emitter slightly upward while activating to build ice height vertically
Alternative method: Use an Ice Arrow on the pool surface, then use Ascend to pass upward through the ice into the elevated corridor above (if the geometry allows it — this is a valid shortcut on some runs).

Tips & Strategy
- Carry the Frost Emitter between rooms — you don't get a new one in each room, and carrying the Room 1 device saves charges
- Freeze width, not just length — angle the device to maximize your walking surface rather than creating a narrow strip
- 15–20 second window in Room 2 — don't hesitate after freezing the current; sprint immediately
- Room 3 height — aim slightly upward to get maximum ice elevation for the jump to the altar
- Ice Arrow backup — always carry 5+ Ice Arrows to Room 2 in case the Frost Emitter runs out of charge
- Fused weapon alternative — a Frost Emitter fused to a weapon lets you refreeze from a running position without stopping to aim
