Ren-iz Shrine
Ren-iz Shrine — Moving Walls
Location: Hebra Mountains, west Hyrule Ability Required: Ultrahand, Ascend Difficulty: Medium — movable wall construction puzzle
Overview
Ren-iz Shrine features walls that can be repositioned with Ultrahand. You'll move large stone wall panels to create new pathways, block wind hazards, and build platforms — then Ascend through them to reach upper areas. Clever spatial reasoning required.
Preparation
- Ascend required
- No combat
- Cold gear for Hebra approach
- Takes 8–10 minutes
Walkthrough
Room 1 — Gap Wall Bridge
- A wide gap separates you from the exit platform. Several tall stone wall panels are standing upright around the room.
- Use Ultrahand to grab a wall panel and lay it horizontally across the gap — flat side up, bridging the gap.
- Walk across the horizontal wall panel to the exit platform.
Room 2 — Wind Block
- A strong wind current blows horizontally across the room, pushing Link toward a hazard wall on the left.
- Pick up a stone wall panel and hold it perpendicular to the wind on the windward side of Link's path.
- The wall blocks the wind as you carry it — walk across the room using the carried wall as a wind shield.
- Set the wall down on the far platform and proceed.
Room 3 — Vertical Ascent
- The altar is above, but the room has no stairs or ladder. A stone wall panel and a ceiling overhang are present.
- Position the stone wall panel vertically against the wall beneath the ceiling overhang.
- Use Ascend through the top of the wall panel — you emerge on the ceiling overhang level.
- Walk from the overhang to the altar.

Tips
- Horizontal wall = bridge: Any wall panel can be a bridge when laid flat. The panel only needs to span the gap — it doesn't need to touch both edges perfectly, just be wide enough to walk across.
- Wind carry: When carrying a wall panel as a wind shield, walk slowly. The panel's physics can push Link off-balance if you move too fast against the wind.
- Ascend angle: Ascend works on vertical objects if they have horizontal surfaces at the top — a tall wall has a flat top. Ascend through the flat top of the panel to teleport to the level above.
- Wall panel weight: The panels are heavy — you cannot carry more than one at a time with Ultrahand. Plan each move individually.
- Chest in Room 1: Before bridging the gap, use Ultrahand to lean a wall panel against the far wall of Room 1 and Ascend up it — there's a chest on the upper ledge of Room 1 accessible this way.
Chest Summary
| # | Contents | Location | |---|----------|----------| | 1 | Diamond | Room 1 — upper ledge. Lean a wall panel against the far wall and Ascend through it to reach the ledge. |
