Yomizuk Shrine (Faron) — Jungle Crossing

Location: Faron Jungle, southeast Hyrule Ability Required: Ultrahand Difficulty: Medium — organic material and jungle-themed puzzle

Overview

Yomizuk Shrine (Faron variant) is a jungle environment puzzle using organic materials — vines, logs, and bamboo-like tubes unique to the Faron region. You'll construct bridges and ramps from these natural materials, and use vine attachment points on the ceiling to create swing paths.

Preparation

  • No combat
  • No special gear
  • Takes 8–10 minutes

Walkthrough

Room 1 — Log Bridge

  1. Two bamboo logs are available. The gap ahead requires both logs attached end-to-end to span it.
  2. Attach the two logs with Ultrahand (push the ends together until they snap) and lay the combined log across the gap.
  3. Cross the log bridge — it's narrow but walkable.

Room 2 — Vine Swing

  1. A vine rope hangs from a ceiling anchor. The exit platform is too far to jump to directly.
  2. Use Ultrahand to pull the vine toward your starting platform, then grab it and use it as a swing.
  3. Swing from your platform, reaching the apex over the gap, and let go — you land on the far platform.

Room 3 — Multi-Log Tower

  1. Four logs of different lengths are in the room. The altar is on a very high platform.
  2. Use Ultrahand to stack the logs vertically — longest at the base, shortest at the top — into a tower against the wall.
  3. Climb the log tower, and use Ascend (or jump) from the top to reach the altar platform.

Tips

  • Log attachment: Bamboo logs snap together cleanly when their ends are brought within 0.5 meters. Move them together slowly until you see the snap alignment indicator.
  • Vine swing momentum: Pull the vine back as far as possible before releasing (more arc) and push forward with your movement stick while swinging for maximum distance.
  • Tower stability: Longer logs at the base create a more stable tower. Inverse stacking (short at bottom) creates a wobbling tower that may collapse before you climb it.
  • Faron jungle theme: The Faron shrine aesthetic is lush green and organic. The puzzle materials (logs, vines) reflect the region — carry this mindset when approaching any puzzle in the area.
  • Room 2 vine release timing: Release the vine at the apex of your forward swing (when you're directly above the target platform) — not at the back of the swing.
