Otatik Lightroot (anagram of Takoti Shrine) occupies a central Akkala Depths cavern directly below the Akkala Citadel ruins where ancient Zonai machinery has maintained continuous operation for centuries without apparent power supply. Stone gears 3-4 meters in diameter turn embedded in the cavern walls, driving a system of rotating stone platforms that extend across a wide central pit — the platforms still function as an elevator system, connecting the main cavern floor to a sealed upper chamber accessible only via the gear-driven lift. The upper chamber contains a Zonai power core array, still active, and represents one of the few locations in the Depths where Zonai energy infrastructure is both intact and operational. Enemy composition: a Bokoblin company of 8-10 has claimed the southeast passage, using the rotating gear housings as cover; and a Yiga Clan Footsoldier pair with Eightfold Blades patrols the western approach on a 90-second circuit. The Yiga will not pursue past the gear mechanism — using the rotating platforms to break line of sight is an effective escape. Chain navigation: between Akosir (south) and Atomas (northeast).
