About This Lightroot

Uakihs Lightroot (anagram of Sikuha Shrine) sits beneath the Akkala coast in a sea-cave hybrid system where the surface ocean has carved access points from above — narrow chimneys in the ceiling glow with filtered light during the day. Stalactite columns drip luminous mineral-laced brine from coastal fissures, forming shallow pools at the lightroot's base that have crystallized over centuries into formations of Salt-Topaz and mineral calcite unique to this location. The crystal formations are exploitable — striking them with a hammer weapon breaks off Topaz shards worth 80 rupees each. Sea-type enemies (Horriblin, a rare shoreline variant) have colonized the ceiling chimneys and attack by dropping from the stalactite clusters; they are immune to water-element weapons and weak to electric. Two Poe clusters are positioned in the sealed alcoves east and west of the main pool, requiring wall-break access via bomb arrows. The cave smells strongly of brine and Gloom — the Gloom concentration here is elevated compared to the coastal surface, suggesting Gloom seepage follows salt water paths. Chain navigation: southeast from Iayusus via the coastal passage.
