Akkala Volcano Approach Cave

About This Location

A volcanic tube cave cutting through the Akkala Highlands near the eastern volcano approach road, formed by ancient lava outflow that solidified into a smooth-walled tunnel. The cave is geothermally warm but does not require heat protection — it runs just cool enough for unprotected entry. Two Bubbulfrogs inhabit the upper vent chambers accessible via Ascend through the ceiling rock. A Black Horriblin guards a locked chest at the tunnel midpoint containing a Smithing Stone for weapon enhancement. The tunnel connects the Akkala eastern road to a hidden overlook above the lava plateau.
