Gerudo Great Fossil Cave

About This Location

A massive cave in the western Gerudo Desert containing the fossilized skeleton of an ancient Molduga far larger than any living specimen. The cave interior stays remarkably cool compared to the scorching desert above, making heat resistance unnecessary inside. Rich ore deposits of Topaz and Amber line the walls near the fossil. A Bubbulfrog hides in the fossil's ribcage. Gerudo scholars believe the skeleton is thousands of years old, predating even the earliest desert settlements.
