Hyrule Field Ruins Cave

About This Location

A rubble cave beneath the scattered ruins of old Hyrule Field, its entrance concealed by collapsed stonework that a Bomb Flower clears. The cave is a former cellar system predating Hyrule Castle's current structure — cut stone walls with ancient Hylian inscriptions. Gloom Hands guard the deepest chamber, spawning when Link steps on a specific floor tile marked with a dark crest. The reward for defeating or evading them is a sealed chest containing a Royal Shield and a passage upward that emerges inside the outer Hyrule Castle courtyard walls — a major shortcut.
