Find the Lost Construct

Near the Lanayru Great Spring, a lone Zonai Construct wanders in confused circles near the riverbank. Unlike hostile constructs, this one flashes amber (confused state) rather than red. Approach it carefully — it will not attack in this state. Interact with it to receive a fragmented message: its navigation crystal is cracked and it cannot return to its assigned patrol post.

Source a Zonai Crystal Fragment

The Construct's message includes a diagram of the crystal type needed: a small Zonai prism available on the sky islands above Lanayru. Activate the Lanayru Tower Skyview to launch skyward, then glide to the nearest Lanayru sky island. The crystal fragment is inside a small Zonai chest on the island's surface — it glows faintly blue.

Return and Repair the Construct

Bring the crystal fragment back to the Construct. Use Ultrahand to insert the crystal into the cracked housing visible on its forehead. The Construct shudders, its navigation systems come online, and its color shifts to green (active patrol mode). It speaks a brief gratitude message in ancient Zonai script and resumes its patrol route.

Follow the Construct to the Cache

Follow the Construct along its restored route for approximately 200 meters. It stops at a covered stone alcove that was its guardpost — undisturbed for millennia. It unlocks the alcove, revealing a cache of Zonai devices and a Large Zonai Charge. The Construct returns to patrol; the cache is yours.
