Quest Overview
The Akkala Ancient Tech Lab has been dormant since its Guidance Stone was deactivated during the chaos following the Upheaval. Senior researcher Robbie has returned and needs Link to retrieve three Flint-charge cores from a nearby Akkala Depths excavation site to restart the lab reactor. Once the reactor is running, the lab can resume manufacturing Ancient Soldier Gear — and Robbie rewards Link with a complimentary set of ancient arrows.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Speak with Robbie at the Tech Lab
Robbie has returned to the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab from his travels but the reactor is cold — three Flint-Charge Cores were removed by Yiga Clan raiders during the Upheaval chaos. He tracked them to an excavation site in the Akkala Depths where the Yiga were attempting to reverse-engineer them. Retrieve the cores from the excavation site and return.
2
Descend to the Akkala Depths Excavation Site
Drop through the Akkala chasm into the Depths below the lab. The Yiga excavation site is 300 meters southwest — a temporary camp with equipment. Three Yiga Masters guard the core storage containers. Defeat them and collect the three Flint-Charge Cores from the locked crates (use Ultrahand to pry the lids off).
3
Return Cores to the Reactor
Bring the three cores back to the Tech Lab. Robbie directs Link to insert each core into its socket on the reactor housing — arranged in a triangular pattern on the back wall. Insert all three and step back. The reactor hums to life, the Guidance Stone activates, and blue light floods the lab.
4
Collect Robbie's Reward
Robbie celebrates the reactor restart with Link. He gifts a full quiver of Ancient Arrows (one-hit eliminations on standard enemies and robots), sets a permanent manufacturing discount on Ancient Soldier Gear at the lab shop, and mentions he is now working on a new experimental ancient weapon he will share with Link on a future visit.
