Quest Overview
Retired fishing master Sebasto in Lurelin Village challenges Link to match the legendary catch he made in his youth: five specific rare fish species from five different Faron water zones in a single day. The challenge requires knowledge of fish behavior, the right Fuse materials for nets, and navigating Faron's varied aquatic environments from the sea coast to the jungle rivers and highland pools.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Accept Sebasto's Fishing Challenge
Sebasto sits on the Lurelin pier reviewing his old fishing journal. His legendary five-species single-day catch has never been matched — he retired the challenge after no one came close. He'll give Link his prized fishing rod (a Fuse-compatible tool with unique water-interaction properties) if Link can catch all five: a Voltfin Trout from Floria River, a Hyrule Bass from Lurelin Bay, a Mighty Carp from Riola Spring, a Chillfin Trout from an Upland Zorana pool, and a Hearty Blueshell Snail from the deep sea.
2
Catch a Voltfin Trout — Floria River
The Floria River runs through Faron's forest. Voltfin Trout are electric fish that avoid loud movement — approach the bank slowly and use a Shock Fruit fused arrow to stun one into the shallows. Collect it before it recovers. The trout only appear near submerged roots on the river's south bend.
3
Catch a Hyrule Bass — Lurelin Bay
Hyrule Bass are the most common fish in Lurelin Bay but Sebasto's challenge requires a Large specimen (over 40 cm). Large Bass school in the deep water 80 meters offshore. Use a Bomb Flower to stun the school, then swim out to collect the largest specimen before it sinks. The explosion doesn't damage the fish for collection purposes.
4
Catch a Mighty Carp and Chillfin Trout
Riola Spring's Mighty Carp hide under the lily pads — use Ultrahand to lift a pad, then scoop quickly. Chillfin Trout at Upland Zorana require cold-resistance gear to access the pool; they're in the high-altitude pools fed by snowmelt. Use an Ice Fruit arrow to freeze the pool surface briefly — the trout surface for air and can be collected.
5
Catch a Hearty Blueshell Snail and Return to Sebasto
Hearty Blueshell Snails cling to deep-sea rocks off the south Lurelin coast. Dive to 15 meters depth (Zora Armor or Swim Up armor bonus helps). They're easily visible by their blue shells. Collect one and return to shore. Bring all five specimens to Sebasto on the pier. He verifies each fish, opens his journal to the page describing his legendary catch, and hands Link the old rod. It has sentimental value but can also function as a Fuse base.
