Find Hestu Near Lookout Landing

Hestu, the enormous dancing Korok, is found on the road south of Lookout Landing — he is hard to miss. He is crying loudly, explaining that his beloved maracas were stolen by a Bokoblin who was attracted to their rattling sound. He specifically saw the Bokoblin run south toward the river camp. Without his maracas, he cannot perform his inventory-expansion dance.

Raid the Bokoblin River Camp

Head south from Hestu's location to the Bokoblin camp on the river bank. Five Bokoblins are celebrating around a campfire, and one of them is shaking Hestu's maracas as a noisemaker. Defeat the camp or use stealth to grab the maracas directly — they are bright yellow and decorated with Korok leaf patterns, making them easy to spot in the camp inventory pile.

Return the Maracas to Hestu

Run back north to Hestu and present him with the recovered maracas. He bursts into tears of joy, shaking them in a happy dance on the spot. He thanks Link profusely and immediately offers his inventory-expansion service. The first expansion costs 1 Korok Seed per slot for weapons, bows, and shields.

Begin Expanding Your Inventory

Hestu will remain near Lookout Landing for a while before eventually relocating to Korok Forest (accessible later via Hyrule Castle). Trade Korok Seeds to unlock additional weapon, bow, and shield slots. The first few expansions are cheap (1 seed each), but costs increase to 2, 3, and eventually 20 seeds per slot for max capacity. Prioritize weapon slots early for maximum build flexibility.
