Depths: The Bargainer Statues

Discover the First Bargainer Statue in Lookout Landing

The first Bargainer Statue is underground beneath Lookout Landing itself — descend via the well or a crack in the floor. The statue appears as a glowing horned idol and speaks in a raspy voice, offering to trade Poes (souls collected in the Depths) for rare items. It also reveals that additional statues exist throughout the Depths and visiting each one unlocks new inventory tiers.

Collect Poe Souls While Exploring the Depths

Poes are blue orbs of light that float near the ground throughout the Depths — especially abundant near Lightroots and ancient ruins. They are collected automatically by walking through them. Activate Lightroots (which illuminate the surrounding area and mark the map) to make Poe hunting much easier in each region. A full Depths exploration run can yield 200-500 Poes depending on thoroughness.

Find and Activate Additional Bargainer Statues

There are multiple Bargainer Statues distributed across the Depths at major landmarks. Each new statue discovered expands the available trade inventory, eventually including the full Dark Tunic armor set pieces (Dark Tunic, Dark Trousers, Dark Hood), the Camera Work in the Depths quest item, Bomb Flowers in bulk, and large quantities of Brightbloom Seeds. Visit them all to unlock maximum trading options.

Purchase the Dark Tunic Set

With 100+ Poes accumulated, return to any Bargainer Statue to purchase the Dark Tunic set pieces. The full Dark Set (Tunic + Trousers + Hood) is the definitive Depths armor: each piece provides +2 defense with night- and Depths-adapted bonuses. The set bonus activates in the Depths, increasing Link's movement speed and reducing stamina consumption. Upgrade at Great Fairy Fountains using Gloom-dropped materials from Depths enemies.
