Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Visit the Hateno Research Lab
Robbie is at the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab (the same location from BotW, rebuilt by Purah). He asks Link to take 10 Hyrule compendium photos of enemies, materials, and equipment before he can calibrate the Camera Roll.
2
Complete the Compendium Photo Tasks
Photograph the required subjects — most are easily found near Hateno Village. Enemies like Bokoblins and Lizalfos count, as do common plants and weapons. Bring the 10 photos back to Robbie for Camera Roll activation.
3
Travel Medallion Expansion
Robbie's second task requires finding three hidden Robbie research notes he left at sites across Hyrule (usually near unusual landmarks). Collecting all three notes upgrades the Travel Medallion capacity from 1 to 3 custom fast travel points.
4
Hero's Path Mode
Robbie's final upgrade — Hero's Path Mode — requires bringing him a piece of each of the four regional boss materials (Lynel Horn, Gleeok Wing, Gloom Hands material, and Flux Construct Core). The Hero's Path Mode draws Link's travel path on the map for the past 200 hours of gameplay.
5
Completion Reward
With all three Purah Pad upgrades installed, Robbie awards Link with the full upgrade certificate and a bonus: the Sensor+ upgrade that allows the Sheikah Sensor to scan for any Compendium entry.
