Description
A shield saturated with concentrated Gloom energy, dropped by Phantom Ganon's commander form in deep Depths encounters. When blocking an attack, the Gloom in the shield's face releases a burst of dark energy that reflects a fraction of the absorbed damage back to the attacker — the only shield in Hyrule with a passive reflect mechanic on successful blocks. The Gloom also corrupts the hands of any unprotected wielder: equip Depths armor or eat Sundelion-based meals to offset the maximum heart reduction from holding it. Despite the risk, the passive damage reflection makes it a top-tier choice for parry-heavy builds against Phantom Ganon copies in the Floating Colosseum. Fuse a Silver Lynel Shield Horn for the highest combined defense value, or a Rocket for emergency aerial escape from deep Depths encounters.
