Description
A crude but functional shield fashioned by Faron forest woodcutters from thick lumber offcuts and bound with rope and raw hide. Originally a protective tool against falling branches and Rock Octorok spit-attacks near lumber operations, it has been pressed into service as a combat shield by settlers defending forest camps. The dense hardwood construction actually provides decent protection against blunt impacts despite its improvised appearance — Bokoblin club strikes are absorbed more effectively than against thin metal shields of similar weight. Found at lumber camps throughout Faron forest and Woodland region settlements. A reliable early shield before Castle-quality equipment becomes obtainable. Fuse a Puffshroom or Bomb Flower for utility bash effects, or a Rubber Coating from Chuchu Jelly for electric insulation during Thunderstorm exploration.
