Description
The Champion's Leathers are a unique chest piece tied directly to the main story — given to Link by Zelda herself before the events of TotK began, representing her trust and their bond. Defense 5, no set bonus on its own, but upgradeable at Great Fairy Fountains using Silent Princess flowers and Light Dragon parts. The upgrade path is one of the most narratively resonant in the game: harvesting parts from the Light Dragon (Zelda transformed) to upgrade armor she once gave Link. Tier 1 requires 2x Silent Princess + 1x Light Dragon Scale; Tier 2 requires 4x Silent Princess + 1x Light Dragon Claw; Tier 3 requires 6x Silent Princess + 1x Light Dragon Fang; Tier 4 requires 10x Silent Princess + 1x Light Dragon Horn. Best use: fashion-forward players who want to honor the story through their loadout, or anyone who wants the best chest defense without grinding Lynel Guts.

Champion's Leathers
The ceremonial leather doublet commemorating Link's status as Princess Zelda's appointed knight and Champion. Embroidered with the royal Hylian crest, it provides moderate base defense and a subtle Attack Up bonus. Not the most powerful armor in the game, but the most narratively meaningful — it represents the bond between Link and Zelda and his role as protector of Hyrule. Obtained as a reward for completing Zelda's research notes side adventure.
