Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!

Description

A volcanic Octorok that spits fiery rocks instead of standard projectiles, found across Eldin Canyon and Death Mountain slopes. Its fire rocks ignite wooden shields and weapons on contact. Ice arrows freeze it mid-inhale for bonus damage and an easy kill. Like all Octoroks, it can inhale and refurbish rusty weapons — drop one near it during the intake breath. Fireproof armor prevents the ambient fire damage in its volcanic habitat.

How to Beat Fire Octorok

Spits fireballs and fire rocks from its snout. Ice arrows are the counter — freeze it mid-inhale for extra damage. Equip fireproof armor before engaging. Can still repair rusty shields on intake: feed it the shield when it surfaces to inhale.
