Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!
Description
Stationary biological structures found across the Gerudo Desert that serve as Gibdo spawning points. They pulse with dark energy and eject Gibdo and Moth Gibdo reinforcements at regular intervals until destroyed. The Lightning Temple questline revolves around destroying these hives to clear safe paths through the desert. Riju's Lightning ability is by far the most efficient counter — a single bolt destroys a hive instantly.

How to Beat Gibdo Hive
Immobile hive structures that continuously spawn Gibdos and Moth Gibdos. Destroying the hive stops the reinforcements. Riju's Lightning Sage power one-shots them. Without Riju, douse them with Splash Fruit or water arrows to weaken the shell, then attack with melee. Prioritize hive destruction over individual Gibdo kills in the Gerudo Desert — the spawns are endless otherwise.
