Description

A named Gloom Moblin variant with enhanced bulk and a partial shield that distinguishes it from standard Gloom Moblins. Like all gloom enemies, its strikes reduce Link's maximum heart capacity temporarily — a mechanic that compounds dangerously over extended Depths combat. Found near Hyrule Castle Depths and central Depths boss regions, this captain often commands a mixed gloom camp where multiple heart-reduction hits arrive simultaneously.

How to Beat Gloom Moblin Captain

A Gloom-infused Moblin captain with permanently reduced max hearts on gloom hit. Maintain sundelion stocks and eat before each encounter. The captain version has a shield block it uses 30% of the time — use bomb arrows or flanking. Avoid prolonged melee — each gloom hit permanently reduces your red hearts until a fire or sundelion meal restores them.
