Maren's Tip
Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!
Description
The most powerful Talus variant in TotK — a building-sized creature of solidified magma that dominates a fixed spawn near Death Mountain's crater. The Igneo Talus Titan is immune to all conventional damage until cooled with ice attacks. Even when cooled, it re-ignites rapidly, punishing slow players. Its nodule drop site after defeat rewards among the highest gem yields of any overworld encounter, including multiple Rubies and a unique Fire Talus Horn crafting material.

How to Beat Igneo Talus Titan
The Igneo Talus Titan is a massive lava-encased goliath. Standard approaches fail — Link takes burning damage on contact unless the body is cooled with Ice Arrows first. Hit it with 4–5 Ice Arrows to temporarily cool it, then immediately climb and strike the nodule repeatedly. The cooling wears off in 20 seconds. Repeat 4–5 cycles to defeat it.
