Maren's Tip
Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!
Description
Red Hinox sleeps in scenic wilderness clearings, guarding treasure-laden necklaces of looted warrior weapons. The eye is not merely a soft spot — it is a central neural node, meaning any arrow that contacts the pupil at any angle immediately triggers the stagger. Leg attacks exploit the ankle joint vulnerability, triggering a fall that creates a sustained damage window. Necklace weapons must be grabbed mid-fight as they disappear permanently when the Hinox dies. Hinox Guts are required for armor upgrades at Great Fairy Fountains.

How to Beat Red Hinox (Sleeping Giant)
Red Hinox sleeps until disturbed — use Sneaky food to approach and get the first headshot from under 10 meters while it sleeps, dealing maximum damage before it activates. Equip Stealth Armor for the approach. After the headshot stagger, sprint to the back leg and attack the ankle joint to topple it. While it lies down, target the necklace weapons first to loot them (they vanish when Hinox dies if not collected). After collecting the necklace, attack the face and chest for maximum damage. For farming runs, the three-headshot loop (shoot eye, mount, hit face repeatedly) is the fastest method.
