Maren's Tip
Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!
Description
The most basic Horriblin variant — a ceiling-dwelling cave monster found in early-game cave systems across Hyrule Field and West Necluda. Red Horribleins introduce the ceiling combat paradigm that escalates dramatically with higher-tier variants. Their jump-drop attack is slow enough that side-dodging is straightforward, and a single well-aimed arrow while it hangs is usually sufficient for a floor stagger. Red Horriblin Horns are essential early-game materials for attack-buffing elixirs.

Headshot while on ceiling; bomb arrow knock-down
How to Beat Red Horriblin
The weakest Horriblin tier. It clings to cave ceilings and drops to attack. Headshot it before it reaches the ground for a free stagger — then combo on the floor. A single bomb arrow aimed at the ceiling near it will knock it down without needing a direct hit. Easy to farm early-game for horn materials.
