Description

A land-dwelling Octorok found in Death Mountain, Eldin Canyon, and rocky terrain across Hyrule. Disguises itself as a ground rock and spits boulders when Link passes. Shield-parry the boulder back for an instant kill. Most valuable for its weapon-repair mechanic — drop a rusty or damaged weapon near it during the inhale phase and it will consume and spit it back fully refurbished with random stat bonuses. Essential for maintaining endgame weapon collections.

How to Beat Rock Octorok

Disguises itself as a rock on the ground. Approaches and shoots rocks — shield-parry deflects them back for an instant kill. Also useful: standing over one when it surfaces and using Ultrahand or stomping it. Rock Octoroks can inhale and repair rusty weapons if you drop one near them.
