Maren's Tip
Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!
Description
A large spider that hangs from cave ceilings and forest canopies by silk threads, spinning to protect its armored carapace toward attackers. The soft underbelly exposed during the spin is the only vulnerable point — patience is required to land the critical strike. Skulltulas are widespread in caves and forested areas. Their Skulltula Guts are used in stamina-buffing elixirs and as mid-tier Fuse materials. A classic Zelda enemy returning to TotK in familiar form.

How to Beat Skulltula
Hangs from silk threads and spins to face Link with its armored shell. Wait for it to spin and expose its pale underbelly, then shoot with an arrow or rush in for a quick melee strike. Fire arrows deal bonus damage to its silk thread — severing the line drops the Skulltula leaving it momentarily vulnerable on the ground.
