Overview

Daka Shrine is one of the more approachable sky island shrines. A single chamber with a small set of blocks needs to be arranged in the correct configuration to unlock the path to the altar. The open sky setting means no claustrophobic angles, but the risk of dropping blocks (or yourself) off the edge keeps you focused.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Observe the Pattern

1. Enter the shrine. In the center of the platform, six blocks of varying sizes are scattered around a raised stone dais.
2. Look at the dais surface — there are six recessed slots etched into the stone, each a different shape matching the six blocks.
3. This is a matching puzzle: each block belongs in a specific slot.

Step 2: Sort and Place

1. Use Ultrahand to pick up blocks one at a time and examine their shape.
2. Match each block to its slot by shape and size. Small cubes fit the small square slots; long slabs fit the rectangular ones; cylindrical blocks fit the round slots.
3. Place each block into its matching slot. When correctly placed, the block settles with a soft click and a blue glow.

Step 3: Final Block — Center Slot

1. Five blocks match easily. The sixth — a large central block — must go in the center slot of the dais.
2. The center slot is slightly recessed below the others. Lower the block carefully straight down into it. When all six are placed correctly, the dais glows fully and the altar door opens.

Tips

• Don't overcomplicate it: This is a matching puzzle, not a construction challenge. Resist the urge to combine blocks.
• Edge risk: The sky island platform has no railings. When reaching for blocks near the edge with Ultrahand, position yourself away from the drop.
• Wrong slot: If a block doesn't glow when placed, it's the wrong slot — the game won't let it "lock" incorrectly. Lift it and try the other recesses.
• Dropped block recovery: If you drop a block off the edge, paraglide down and retrieve it with Ultrahand before it falls too far. All blocks respawn at their starting positions after 30 seconds if fully lost.
