Domizuin Shrine
Domizuin Shrine — Suspended Crossing
Location: Akkala Highlands, northeast Hyrule Ability Required: Ultrahand Difficulty: Medium — chain and suspension puzzle
Overview
Domizuin Shrine uses hook and chain mechanics — you'll attach hooks to anchor points to suspend platforms, then walk across the suspended platforms. Understanding chain physics and how suspended objects behave is key.
Preparation
- No combat
- No special gear
- Takes 8–10 minutes
Walkthrough
Room 1 — Hook and Hang
- A flat board sits on the floor. Ceiling anchor hooks are visible above a gap.
- Use Ultrahand to pick up the board, attach a hook to one end, and hang the hook on the nearest ceiling anchor.
- The board hangs from the anchor, suspended over the gap — walk across it.
Room 2 — Two-Hook Balance
- A longer board needs to be suspended level between two anchor points to create a stable walkway.
- Attach a hook to each end of the board. Hang the first hook on the left anchor, then the second on the right anchor.
- The board hangs level between both anchors — cross it.
Room 3 — Chain Bridge
- The gap is too wide for a single board. Three boards and multiple hooks are available.
- Attach boards end-to-end using Ultrahand, then hook the chain assembly to ceiling anchors at intervals.
- Create a multi-section hanging bridge all the way to the altar platform.

Tips
- Hook attachment point: Attach the hook to the very end of the board. A hook attached to the middle causes the board to hang sideways (one end up, one end down) — useless as a bridge.
- Level suspension: For the two-hook room, hang both hooks at the same height on their respective anchors. Unequal heights create a tilted bridge.
- Chain length matters: In Room 3, if one section is too long, it sags below walkable level. Keep each board section short enough that the sag stays within jump range.
- Test before crossing: Lightly step onto the edge of each suspension before fully committing your weight — ensure the hooks are secure before trusting it.
