Ga-ahisas Shrine — Sky Construction Trial

Location: Sky Islands, above Central Hyrule or Lanayru sky zone Coordinates: (1212, 0684, 1012) (sky layer) Type: Puzzle Shrine — Advanced Zonai Construction Difficulty: Medium

Overview

Ga-ahisas Shrine is a sky construction puzzle shrine that escalates Zonai Wing-and-Fan assembly beyond the basics introduced in Jinodok Shrine. Each room provides raw Zonai components — Wings, Fans, Rockets, Stabilizers, and Steering Sticks — and a flight course with specific requirements: altitude changes, precise landings, and obstacle threading. Players who master Ga-ahisas can build any functional aircraft in the overworld and are well-prepared for the demanding sky island chains in Akkala, Tabantha, and Eldin sky zones.

Preparation

  • Ultrahand — required for all assembly
  • Paraglider — for recovery if a constructed vehicle goes off-course
  • No combat gear — purely construction and piloting
  • No temperature gear — Central Hyrule sky zone is temperate at standard sky island altitude
  • Understanding of fan thrust direction: fans thrust in the direction they face (rear-mounted = forward thrust)

Walkthrough

Step 1: Altitude Gain Construction

The first room requires reaching a platform 30m above the starting level — too high to climb or paraglide directly from the launch point. Available components: one Wing, two Fans, one Rocket. Attach the Rocket to the Wing's front underside (pointing forward) and both Fans to the rear. The Rocket fires on activation and provides massive initial altitude burst; Fans sustain flight after Rocket depletes. Activate the Rocket on launch — reach the upper platform.

Step 2: Obstacle Course

The second course has three suspended stone rings (similar to aerial archery targets) that the glider must pass through sequentially. Available: one Wing, two Fans, one Steering Stick. Attach the Steering Stick to the Wing's top — this allows manual turning in flight. Thread the first ring straight, bank left through the second, bank right through the third. The Steering Stick is controlled by tilt input while standing on the Wing.

Step 3: Precision Landing

The third room has a small landing pad (3m × 3m) at the far end of a 50m flight course. Available: one Wing, one Fan, one Stabilizer. Attach the Stabilizer to slow the approach speed. For precision landings, angle the Wing slightly nose-up in the final 5m to bleed speed before touchdown — land at low velocity and the Stabilizer keeps the wing level.

Step 4: Combined Challenge

The final room uses a combination of all mechanics: altitude gain, obstacle threading, and precision landing. Components available: Wing, Rocket, two Fans, Steering Stick, Stabilizer. Build the complete aircraft (Rocket on nose, Fans rear, Steering Stick top, Stabilizer bottom). The course passes through two rings, requires a 20m altitude gain midway, and ends on a narrow pad. Full piloting skill required.

Step 5: Altar

Through the final gate is Rauru's altar. Collect your Light of Blessing. The chest contains a Zonai Rocket and Zonai Fan capsule — two of the key components used throughout the shrine.

Tips

  • Rocket placement: attaching to the nose fires forward; attaching to the rear fires backward (acts as reverse brake); underside fires upward for altitude boost
  • Steering Stick: lean left to bank left, right to bank right — subtle inputs are sufficient; over-steering rolls the Wing
  • Stabilizer = better level flight at cost of reduced turning agility; useful for precision landing approach
  • If the vehicle goes off-course, jump off and paraglide — retrieve the Wing with Ultrahand from the ground and rebuild
  • All Ga-ahisas construction patterns have direct overworld applications: the Rocket+Fan+Steering Wing is the optimal sky island exploration vehicle
