Sahirow Shrine
Sahirow Shrine — Faron Waterfall Blessing
Location: Faron region, Lake Floria waterfall area Coordinates: (1282, -3408, 0084) Type: Rauru's Blessing — Quest or navigation prerequisite Difficulty: Easy (interior) / Medium (approach — dense jungle + waterfall terrain)
Overview
Sahirow Shrine is a Rauru's Blessing shrine in the deep Faron jungle near Lake Floria — the southernmost major water body in Hyrule. The Faron region's dense canopy and waterfall terrain make the approach challenging for navigation: multiple waterfalls, vine-covered cliffs, and the Floria River's fast current all funnel players toward or away from the shrine location. The shrine may require activating a nearby pedestal, completing a short environmental challenge, or fulfilling a prerequisite quest with a local NPC. The interior has no puzzle. Faron's warm, humid climate requires no temperature gear — the challenge is pure exploration and jungle navigation.
Location Details
Sahirow Shrine sits in the Lake Floria area — the large lake in southern Faron fed by numerous waterfalls from the surrounding highlands. The shrine's position near the waterfall complex makes it accessible from multiple directions:
Approach options:
- Faron Tower + glide south: Faron Skyview Tower (central Faron) launches Link south into the Floria Basin
- Floria Bridge + river route: Follow the Floria River south from Hylia River confluence to Lake Floria
- Eventide Island route: From the coast, head inland northwest through the Faron jungle
Preparation
- Full hearts — the Faron jungle has Electric Lizalfos and Bokoblins; mid-game combat gear
- Paraglider — for waterfall descent and inter-canopy traversal
- No temperature gear — Faron is tropical and warm throughout
- Shock Resistance useful — Electric Lizalfos are common in the wet jungle terrain
- Zora Armor or swimming ability — Lake Floria has underwater approaches; Zora Armor dramatically increases swim speed
Shrine Prerequisite
Sahirow Shrine activates after one of the following (determined by quest state):
- Find and interact with the shrine pedestal — located on a cliff above Lake Floria's main waterfall; requires climbing or Ascend to reach
- Speak to a specific NPC at the nearby waterfall overlook — they request a Faron-region material (tropical fruit, Electric Lizalfos scale, or similar)
- Environmental trigger — direct interaction with the pedestal while observing a specific weather condition (rain activates the water flow mechanism beside the pedestal)
Check the immediate area around the shrine marker on the map for a pedestal or NPC before exploring further.
Inside the Shrine
No puzzle. Walk the short corridor to Rauru's altar. Check for a treasure chest on the left side before the altar — common rewards include Faron-region materials, Zonaite, or defensive gear suited to jungle combat.
Altar
Interact with Rauru's statue for your Light of Blessing.
Tips
- Lake Floria's waterfalls can be climbed using Ascend from underwater — ascend through the waterfall face to emerge above it
- Electric Lizalfos in the wet jungle: avoid attacking in standing water — the splash conducts electricity. Use arrows or fight on dry ground
- The Zora Armor set bonus (worn underwater) is worth equipping for the Lake Floria approach — it triples swim speed and enables waterfall climbing
- Faron jungle at night has higher enemy density — approach during daytime for easier navigation
- Sahirow Shrine becomes a fast travel point for Lake Floria area — useful for Faron jungle material farming runs
