Akitanom Lightroot (anagram of Monatika Shrine) sits below the Lanayru Road on the most well-traveled pre-Upheaval subterranean route in the region. Stone markers carved with directional symbols and waypoint distances in ancient Hylian numerals line both sides of the main cavern, spaced at regular intervals, suggesting this tunnel was used as a functional underground road — an alternative to surface travel that may have predated the Lanayru Road itself by centuries. The marker trail is continuous for 400 meters east-west, with side branches leading to now-collapsed secondary tunnels that once provided access to other surface points. Luminous Stone deposits are dense along the marked road, possibly intentional placement by ancient road-builders to illuminate the passage. The Bargainer Statue at the road's midpoint is carved into the wall itself — not freestanding but integrated into the rock, one of the more permanent-seeming Statue installations. Enemy density is low; only 2-3 Constructs remain on maintenance patrol. Zonaite deposits cluster at the marker trail junctions where side passages branch.
