About This Lightroot
Northern Tabantha Depths beneath the frontier, Awatik sits above a network of thermal vents that generate strong updrafts through vertical shafts. The updrafts are reliable enough to ride with a Paraglider, making vertical navigation between cave layers unusually efficient here. Stone pillars capped with ore deposits rise from the vent openings, accessible only by riding the thermals to height.

Locate the mirror shrine
Find Kitawa Shrine on the surface map. Awatik Lightroot is located directly below it.

Enter through a nearby chasm
Find the nearest chasm to Kitawa Shrine and jump in. Glide to slow your descent and throw Brightbloom Seeds to light the way.

Navigate to coordinates
Head toward (-2400, 1800, -530). Use your map marker to track your position.

Activate the lightroot
Interact with Awatik Lightroot to activate it. This illuminates the surrounding Depths map and creates a fast travel point.
