About This Lightroot

Mimufis sits deep in the southern Faron Depths beneath the dense jungle surface, corresponding to Sifumim Shrine in the Faron jungle region. The giant tree root systems of Faron's ancient canopy trees have penetrated 30-40 meters into the bedrock here — roots as thick as pillars create a natural three-dimensional climbing structure across the entire cavern ceiling. These root columns can be ascended using the Climb ability, and Ascend can be used through thin root masses to reach the surface jungle directly from within the Depths (the only natural Ascend-to-surface connection in Faron). A Frox nesting ground occupies the southern half of the cavern, with 2-3 Frox protecting their egg clusters. Rare jungle-origin materials that have filtered down with the roots — Sunshroom, Hylian Shrooms, and tropical critters — appear in the root mass crevices.
