About This Lightroot

Okasoh Lightroot (anagram of Hosaok Shrine) rises from the floor of a partially-collapsed Zonai research complex in the northern Akkala Depths — the largest intact Zonai structure in the region. The facility was built on two above-floor levels accessible via Zonai-engineered stone elevators, though only the eastern elevator still functions. Research chambers on the upper level contain data terminals whose displays still cycle through partial readouts in the Zonai symbolic script, showing diagrams that appear to be energy flow schematics for an unknown device. Three Zonai Constructs (survey class, non-combat configuration) continue their programmed maintenance rounds through the facility despite the obvious destruction around them — they can be interacted with using Zonai-resonant items but will not engage in combat unless struck. Ore deposits are exceptional here: the research facility was positioned over a high-concentration Diamond and Topaz vein that the Zonai were apparently studying. Full sweeps of the facility take 25-30 minutes but reliably yield 6-10 precious gems. Chain navigation: south from Duoninat, northeast of Akosir.
