Oyuram Lightroot (anagram of Ruyoma Shrine) occupies a sea-cave hybrid in the eastern Lanayru Depths where coastal brine percolates down through the limestone and crystallizes on every exposed surface. The salt deposits range from fine white crusts on the walls to pink-hued formations (iron trace contamination) up to 30 cm thick on the floor — the thick formations crunch underfoot and impede movement slightly in the densest sections. Small pools of hyper-saline water dot the floor, too mineral-rich for most creatures but supporting a colony of brine-adapted Lizalfos (4-5) that are notably more corrosion-resistant than standard variants and can briefly breathe brine without discomfort. Like Likes are the primary hazard: 6-8 specimens distributed throughout the cave, drawn by the high mineral density. They will consume equipped shields, weapons, or armor items on successful attack — players must keep inventory management in mind to avoid feeding them valuable equipment. Salt formation mining: the pink iron-salt deposits contain embedded Topaz from iron-mineral association chemistry, and breaking formations with hammer weapons yields both Salt Crystals (cooking ingredient) and Topaz shards. A Bubbulfrog hides under the largest salt shelf on the western wall, only visible by crouching. Chain navigation: connects eastern Lanayru coast zone to Otakih inland.
