About This Lightroot
Sinorak Lightroot (anagram of Karonis Shrine) sits within a spectacular obsidian cavern in the Eldin Highlands Depths where ancient lava flows cooled so rapidly that the walls vitrified into black glass. The obsidian surfaces are polished smooth and curve in long sweeping arcs that follow the original flow patterns — the chamber reads like the interior of a massive wave frozen in stone. Lightroot glow reflects off the obsidian in every direction simultaneously, making Sinorak one of the brightest underground chambers relative to its light source. Navigation visibility extends 50-60 meters instead of the usual 20-30, a significant practical advantage. The obsidian itself is mineable using high-durability weapons: breaking sections yields both raw obsidian shards (usable as cutting weapon fusions) and embedded Ruby deposits formed by heat pressure during the cooling event. A Fire-element Lizalfos camp of 5-6 occupies the main obsidian plain — they use the reflective surfaces to circle and flank, making crowd control abilities essential. Ruby and Topaz clusters appear at the boundary between the obsidian and the surrounding basalt, where two geological materials created different pressure conditions. Chain navigation: southern hub between Akinatakas (north) and Eragats (south).
