Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Find the Ancient Pressure Plate Site
The Desert Colossus shrine site is in the Gerudo Desert, southwest of Gerudo Town near the edge of the Haunted Wasteland. Three ancient stone pressure plates are arranged in a triangular formation in the sand, each roughly four meters in diameter and engraved with Zonai symbols. A stone tablet between them reads: "Three vehicles must rest upon three thrones simultaneously for the sleeper to wake." Nearby, a Zonai construct dispensary provides the base components needed.
2
Build the First Vehicle
Collect Zonai fans, wheels, and a platform slab from the dispensary. Use Ultrahand to construct a wheeled sand vehicle: attach two fans horizontally at the rear of the platform for propulsion and two wheels at the front for steering. The vehicle needs to be compact enough to fit within the pressure plate circle (about three meters width). Power it with a Zonai charge and test-drive it on flat sand nearby to confirm it holds direction.
3
Build Two More Vehicles and Position All Three
Construct two additional vehicles matching the first in size and configuration. Park the first on Plate A (north position), then build and park the second on Plate B (southwest), and the third on Plate C (southeast). All three must be on their respective plates simultaneously — the plates reset if any vehicle slides off due to sand drift. Add extra fans pointing inward to keep each vehicle pressed firmly onto its plate.
4
Raise the Mayachideg Shrine
When all three plates are simultaneously depressed, the sand between them churns and the Mayachideg Shrine rises from beneath — accompanied by a deep resonant tone and a spray of sand. Dismount and approach the shrine. Its interior features vehicle-navigation puzzles using the same Zonai construction principles applied outside. Complete the shrine for a Light of Blessing and a fast-travel point in the deep Gerudo Desert.
