Enter the Akkala Citadel Ruins

The Akkala Citadel is the ancient fortress in northeastern Akkala, northeast of Dah Hesho Shrine and east of Akkala Citadel Ruins Stable. Enter the citadel from the ground-level gate — the interior is overrun with Lizalfos and Blue Bokoblins. Clear the enemies on the first floor or rush past them. Locate the staircase that descends into the citadel's basement level.

Descend Through the Collapsed Basement

The basement has three layers of collapsed stone flooring — ancient construction that caved in over centuries. Each layer has a partially intact ceiling section thick enough to use Ascend. Find the first ceiling remnant (a large stone slab) and use Ascend to phase upward through it, depositing Link on top of the collapsed rubble in the layer above. Repeat at the second and third slab.

Navigate the Rubble Chambers

Between Ascend sections, navigate through cramped rubble-filled passages. Some paths are blocked by debris piles — use Ultrahand to shift rocks out of the way. Watch for a Blue Hinox sleeping in the second layer chamber; avoid waking it if under-leveled. The third layer has a long horizontal crawl space leading to the shrine chamber at the foundation's deepest point.

Activate Domizuin Shrine

The Domizuin Shrine sits in the ancient foundation chamber, undisturbed since the citadel was built. Approach and activate the seal. The shrine interior uses Ascend as its core mechanic — multiple layered puzzle chambers require phasing through ceilings at precise locations to bypass walls and reach the final altar. Complete for a Light of Blessing.
