Josha in the Lookout Landing underground lab has triangulated three ancient Zonai structure sites in the Depths using surface geological data and Purah Pad interference patterns. She cannot descend herself — the Gloom is too dangerous without combat training. She marks three coordinates on the Purah Pad and provides a field documentation checklist: photograph the exterior, examine any inscriptions, and note the scale relative to known Zonai constructs.

Document the First Ruin: Central Depths Pillar Complex

Descend through the Lookout Landing chasm into the Central Depths. Navigate south-southwest to the pillar complex — a cluster of five massive Zonai stone columns still standing despite the Gloom erosion. Use the Purah Pad camera to photograph the intact column base inscriptions (ancient Zonai script) and the overhead capstone geometry. Note the orientation: the columns align with the Hyrule Castle Lightroot above, suggesting the Zonai designed the Depths as a mirror infrastructure.

Document the Second and Third Ruins

Travel to the Faron Depths site (a submerged Zonai foundry visible through a shallow underground lake) and the Eldin Depths site (a partially intact processing facility near the Abandoned Eldin Mine). Photograph both from the closest safe approach angle. The foundry shows evidence of Zonaite smelting predating the surface mines, and the processing facility's intact machinery provides the best surviving example of Zonai industrial design.

Return Photos to Josha and Collect Rewards

Deliver all three documented site records to Josha. She analyzes the photographs overnight and presents her findings: the Depths were an intentional Zonai construction layer built beneath Hyrule to support surface civilization, not a natural formation. Each site yields an escalating material reward — Zonaite from the first, Crystallized Charges from the second, and a Purah Pad upgrade chip (Sensor+ range enhancement) from the third delivered together.
