Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Speak with the Concerned Villager

A Kakariko Village resident standing near the central well complains that water pressure has dropped to a trickle over the past week. The water trough near the inn is nearly empty, washing facilities are unusable, and the village's small farm is at risk. She asks Link to investigate the well shaft for blockages, warning him that the drop into the well is too far and dangerous for the villagers themselves.

2

Descend into the Well Shaft

Approach the well's stone rim and look down. The shaft is about eight meters deep with mossy handholds visible on the stone walls. Drop in carefully, angling toward the ledge halfway down to break your fall. At the bottom, the water level is low — a massive boulder wedged diagonally in the shaft above the main water chamber is blocking the subterranean stream that feeds the well.

3

Clear the Blockage with Ultrahand and Fuse

The boulder is too large to shift with Ultrahand alone — it is jammed against both walls. Fuse a bomb flower to a rock fragment lying nearby and detonate it against the boulder's base to shatter the lower section. With the bottom portion gone, use Ultrahand to tilt the remainder and pull it free from the shaft walls. Water immediately begins flowing from the underground stream, rapidly refilling the well.

4

Explore the Newly Revealed Passage

With the water level rising, notice a stone doorway that was previously blocked behind the boulder. Duck through it to find a small subterranean chamber. A wooden chest contains 3 Amber and 1 Opal. On the far wall, a small Korok seed puzzle — a pinwheel with falling leaves that must be caught by standing in the correct floor spot — yields an additional Korok Seed. Return to the villager to receive her heartfelt thanks.
