Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Locate the Yiga Clan Hideout

The Yiga Clan Hideout is in the Karusa Valley of the Gerudo region, northwest of Gerudo Town. The entrance is disguised as a dead end in the canyon — look for a small gap in the cliff face marked by a Yiga symbol. To approach safely, wear the Yiga Armor if you have it (obtained from Yiga footsoldiers or in the hideout itself) or prepare to defeat the guards at the entrance. Without disguise, guards attack on sight.

2

Infiltrate as a Recruit

Inside the hideout, the Yiga leader Kohga's lieutenant is running a recruitment exam for new members. He mistakes Link for an actual recruit if you are wearing the full Yiga Armor set. Accept the exam without revealing your true identity. The exam consists of three trials conducted in an underground arena, each testing a different combat skill. Failing a trial allows one retry before guards are alerted.

3

Complete the Three Combat Trials

Trial 1: Defeat three Yiga Footsoldiers using only a bladed weapon within the time limit. Trial 2: Survive a barrage of Windcleavers for 60 seconds without using your own weapons — dodge only. Trial 3: Strike a moving target dummy ten times in a row with a bow from 20 meters without missing. Each trial is designed to test real ninja skills; passing all three without detection is the key requirement.

4

Steal the Recipe and Escape

After passing the trials, the lieutenant leads you to the trophy room to collect your reward — the Mighty Banana Cake recipe stored on a scroll. Grab the scroll and immediately flee through the hideout back to the entrance before your disguise is blown. If you are detected, sprint — the Yiga members teleport aggressively but cannot follow outside the hideout perimeter. The Yiga Armor piece and recipe are yours once you clear the entrance.
